Towdah is a Hebrew word meaning "thanksgiving" or "praise" offered to God, often through an act of worship or sacrifice. It involves expressing trust in God, even before His promises are fulfilled. Towdah is associated with extending hands in gratitude and praise, acknowledging God's goodness and faithfulness.
“He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me; and he who orders his way aright [who prepares the way that I may show him], to him I will demonstrate the salvation of God.” — Psalm 50:23 (AMPC)
Our vision is to teach, train and equip the Body of Christ in discovering their God-ordained calling, purpose and destiny.
Our ultimate mission is to reach and teach the world with the gospel, build up believers in their faith, and equip them to live out their God-given purposes. Through worship, prayer, teaching, and community, we are committed to building strong relationships with God and one another.
Towdah Praise Worship Center was birthed under the divine leading of the Lord, inspired by a vision to bring the power and glory of God to Mississippi, the local community, and the Body of Christ as a whole. Bishop Ralph and Prophetess Keesha serve as this God-ordained ministry's Founding Overseers and Senior Leaders.
The church began on June 4th, 2012, and had their first official service on June 10th, 2012, with its humble beginnings rooted in the Brown Family’s home. What first began as powerful prayer services, and with unwavering faith and a commitment to God’s call, they opened their doors to worshippers, and the ministry quickly began to grow.
Within just three months, the home setting could no longer contain the increasing number of congregants. This growth prompted the church to relocate to a larger space on the second floor of a local childcare facility in Madison, Mississippi for the next 2 years.
In June 2014, the Lord orchestrated yet another transition. With divine guidance, the church moved to a chapel owned by Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi.
This location served as a sanctuary for the next six years of fellowship, prayer, praise, worship, preaching, teaching, prophesying, healing, deliverance, and miracles! This marked a season of increased passion, spiritual growth, and great community impact.
However, in 2020, the unforeseen challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic brought about significant changes. For the safety of the congregation and in response to external factors, the church placed all its equipment, materials, and supplies into storage.
Transitioning to virtual services, the ministry continued to thrive, remaining steadfast and faithful to the call of God. Bishop Ralph and Prophetess Keesha led the congregation through this period of adjustment with resilience, by setting up Ministry Zoom communications, Church prayer/conference lines, text & email groups, as well as an increased social media presence, ensuring that the Mission & Vision of Towdah Praise Worship Center was not lost and continued to glorify God and transform lives.
What an unwavering commitment to faith and the Call of God! During a time of reflection and prayer in God’s presence, Bishop Ralph received a profound vision from the Lord. The revelation was clear—the time had come to pursue a new physical space for in-person services to resume. Acting in faith, Bishop Ralph, along with Prophetess Keesha, diligently sought the right location. After a little over a month of prayerful searching and trusting God’s direction, they were led to the current building and space that the church now calls home. This journey of faith and obedience stands as a testament to God’s provision and faithfulness, marking a new chapter in the life of Towdah Praise Worship Center.
The legacy of Towdah Praise Worship Center is one of faith, resilience, perseverance, and a steadfast commitment to the vision God has given. As the church continues to grow and impact the community, Bishop Ralph and Prophetess Keesha remain devoted to leading with excellence, humility, and a pure heart for God’s glory.
The Trinity:
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ:
We believe in the divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death on the cross, and His resurrection.
Salvation:
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received by faith in Jesus Christ.
The Bible:
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the authoritative guide for Christian living.
The Church:
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, serve others, and share the Gospel.
Baptism:
We believe baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ, symbolizing a believer’s identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. We practice baptism by immersion, reflecting the cleansing and new life found in Jesus.

Significance of praying at 3pm: Praying at 3 PM has significance in both the Old and New Testaments, often referred to as the "hour of prayer." This time, also known as the "ninth hour" (since the Jewish day starts at 6 AM), holds a special place in biblical history for various reasons:
